Well, that was the embarrassing day of my life, however I am absolutely not worried standing here in front of you and giving this speech. Since we entered the middle school, I realized that school is my passion. I have been a member of each club possible, trying to spend most of my time with you and share the unique experiences that the school setting provides. My interest in the student council was marked by my being the only student present at the basketball game last season. The teams played badly, one of the worst records in the history of the school. However, I am not here to judge players, as I cannot get that ball into my hands. I am here to say that I will be able to bring the school spirit back to our classes.
The activities that I can establish within the power of the student council will awaken the same interest in school for each of you, as it has always been for me. It is not only about taking the textbooks in and out of your lockers, printing essays and spending time in the library finishing the homework during the rest breaks. What I want you to understand now is that the school is a social setting, a community that each of us is a part of. There is no one else but us to change the attitude towards the facility and use the benefits that it provides for all. So far, I have already been the President of the Key Club, setting a range of volunteering activities, school fundraisers and clean-ups that you should all be aware of and join. I have been in the Yearbook, shaping team for the high school students, taking quotes for the already graduated fellows, and for you standing here and listening to me today.
I know that I can alter your attitude towards school and help you to perceive it as fun and social environment that you will be happy to wake up in the morning to visit. I can succeed in this task, as I have the determination to put hours and days to create the best high school experience for everyone here. I am motivated to change the mood of this school and help the basketball team to do better not by training but by the support from the other students. Please vote for me as a new president of the student council and I promise you that this will be the choice you will never regret in your life.
